Thesis Title: The relation between culture and ecosystem in anthropology: empirical evidence from regional development projects in the andean region (1989-2000))

About

Dr. Professor Felipe Cárdenas Ph.D has been working in the last 20 years in environmental anthropology, dealing with development projects in the Andean region of Colombia. As a result of his research work he has been learning from peasant communities, and indigenous groups; he is an organic farmer, and reader of rural and cultural landscapes. He studies regional development, and has studied Parrish sacred geography with particular emphasis in  ecotheology. His doctoral thesis was about the relation between culture and environment. He is the present  director of the Political Science and Human Rights Department at Universidad de La Sabana-Colombia.

On two opportunities he has been awarded, on a colective basis,  the major ecological and environmental  prizes in Colombia (Premio Planeta Azul del Banco de Occidente and Premio Enrique Pérez Arbelaez del Fondo FEN). In the year 2005, the OMSP of Argentina awarded him with a Doctorate Honoris Causa in Tertiary Education. His doctorate thesis in anthropology was considered a Magna Cum Laudem. He has written a couple of books, various chapters in collective books and around 20 research articles. You can find plenty of his political writtings in Indy Media Colombia.  He has a certificate-diploma as a homeopath given by the British Institute of homeopathy and the Instituto Homeopático de Colombia. He is an honorary member of the Sociedad Homeopática de Colombia. In the year (2005) he was the Vice-Presidential formula of the Political Reconstruction movement of Colombia and Environmentalists of Colombia, their political agenda was considered the state of the art in institutional political enviromental design by some of the most important media. He has been very active in relation to the promotion, on a political, scientific and legal sphere, of homeopathic medicine. Today his main focus areas deals with the fundamentation of political science, anthropology and social science on a dynamic, noetic and complex approach. His inspiring masters are: Eric Voegelin, Raimon Pannikar, Vladimir Lossky, M. F. Sciacca, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Gilbert Durand, Pitrim Sorokin, Samuel Hahnemann and the Christian patristic tradition of the first centuries.
